In class we discussed and started planning the basics of the preproduction. We outlined the stages we will have to take for our idea to become visual and written so what we need to do and what to include will become clear. In class i have written a basic script for the first scene and locations that we will need. The props required have been listed
First scene:
Our idea for the First scene would be set in a ‘police station’. where the Ashmolean museum would be a suitable location as it will seem an official and important building where a prisoner would be signed out by two police officers.
The first shot would be a close up of the prisoners cuffed ankles stepping toward the front desk.
Then an exchange of paper work, where a mug shot of the prisoner is clear and titles of names of the people involved would be left after physical things pass, for example the prisoner would step into a puddle and when it becomes clear a name and their position would appear
There would then be close-ups of the prisoners handcuffs and of the two police officers with the prisoner
It will then be a shot from outside where you can see the prisoner and two police officers walk down the steps and several shots to speed up the process to show a sense of urgency
The prisoner would be put into a van that was waiting outside and once the prisoner is seated there will be a shot reverse shot where a black sack is pulled over his head
*End of scene*
