Conventions of an action thriller

In group discussion and development of ideas we have decided the genre of our film would be an action thriller. The propose of an action is to excite and captivate the audience and make them feel like they are involved with action. To have this effect the film must be able to make sense by having  an excellent understanding of film language to give an effect that will engage the audience and using the best ways of making the film run smoothly and seamless editing all while the action of the film is grabbing the attention the audience further. 

The conventions of an action thriller that we will use in our production include a main character which their identity is unknown to the audience which gives a sense of mystery and allows the viewers to picture what the character has done to be in hi position. The soundtrack will be especially important as the creates the atmosphere of the film and the choice of soundtrack must fit the effect the scene or shots are trying to make on the audience and change with the scene by changing the dynamics and speed of the music or atmospheric sounds.
